Mucormycosis is invasive fungal disease caused by MUCOR SPECIES of fungus. It is more common in Immunocompromised patient. Very high Blood sugar and post covid patients with high blood sugar also more prone to develop this. Aggressive surgical debridement followed by medical management in the form of ANTIFUNGAL drugs is the mainstay of treatment.
